Check back for
updates... I keep finding new things to put on this
page!
|
| In the future,
when you have a problem make sure you get exact details of what
was happening. |
For example:
* Operating system?
* Type of internet connection?
* Type of router or firewall?
* Do you have anti-virus software running?
* Error message?
* If you go to start/run and type dxdiag and hit enter what
version number is your direct X?
* Error number?
* What programs were running?
* What is your frame rate set at?
* Was a window open over the video on the peekshows3K software?
* Does the computer have onboard video?
* Does it seem to be happening on the same computer every time?
* What did the chat and video do at the time of the problem?
* Did the pop up message box tell you what happened? ex. "disconnected
from broadcaster"If it happened while connecting to a show:
* Was it private or semi?
* Did it happen more than once? If so was it the same user or
a different user?
* Did it appear to be a problem on the user end? |
| Please include
any other information that you can gather such as screen captures,
exact time/date, username of model and customer... |
| Then just wrap up this info in an email
for me and shoot it off to me; neil@peekshows.com or neillien22@yahoo.com.
This will help speed the process of fixing any remaining bugs
in the system... |
You may also want to go to www.download.com
and search for ping plotter then download the shareware (version
2.41). Here's the link
Ping Plotter V2.41.
Then enter master.peekshows.com
into the space on the left, and select from the drop down on
the bottom left trace interval 1 second. Then click trace and
let it run for awhile (at least an hour) See if the graphics
have red bars. Also note the round trip average ping time. If
it doesn't make any sense to you go to file and save sample
set. Then email it to me and I'll look at it.
In the event you have driver problems you might want to check
out this program that replaces drivers. I suggest you read the
instructions before use, and make sure your card is supported.
http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/
Here's a link if your having trouble with your ati card not
detecting. http://mirror.ati.com/support/infobase/3749.html
Basically it says that any WDM application that is running on
a win 2000 or OLDER windows version will not work with ANY of
their cards now or in the future. Hence, get an older ATI card,
or upgrade to XP where windows has allowed for the connection. |
